On 30 August 2022, QAA was notified by the Access Validating Agency (AVA), One Awards, that they are in the process of insolvency. As the AVA can no longer meet the conditions of licence for the Access to HE Diploma, QAA has taken the decision as regulator of the Access to HE Diploma to withdraw their licence with effect from 5pm on 30 August 2022.

QAA will be custodian for provision approved under the AVA licence held by One Awards from this date until provision is transferred to another licensed AVA (or AVAs).
