QAA offers an overview of the Advanced Learner Loan for Access to HE students in England through a new video.
The video sets out the process of applying through the Government’s Advanced Learner Loan system if you are over 19 years old and applying for a QAA-recognised Access to Higher Education Diploma in England.
Students who complete their Access to HE Diploma will not be required to repay their loan until they are earning over £27,295 per year and will be entitled to have the balance of their loan written off if they go on to complete a recognised degree or other higher education course.
Students who require support with the costs of childcare, trips on their course or classroom assistance for a disability or learning difficulty may also be eligible for funding from the Advanced Learner Loan Bursary Fund.
Access to HE students in England can find more information on the Advanced Learner Loan on the Government website. Access to HE students in Wales or Northern Ireland can find out more about their funding options from the relevant websites.
