Are you interested in working with QAA on the development of the Access to HE qualification?
04/05/2012
The regulations that define the nature, size and structure of the Access to HE Diploma are set down in three key documents, published in 2006 and 2008. The Access Recognition and Licensing Committee (ARLC) has decided to review the implementation of that specification to establish its continued appropriateness. A new Access Qualification Development Group (AQDG) is therefore being established.
We are inviting applications for members of the Access Qualification Development Group in the following categories:
- Access Validating Agencies (2)
- Further education (FE) sector (2) - senior manager/curriculum manager with experience of Access to HE Diploma programmes
- Higher education (HE) sector (2) - staff involved in admissions to a range of higher education courses
- others with appropriate experience in qualification development (2) - who may come from higher or further education or who may have other relevant academic or research interests or experience.
We are looking, in particular, for individuals with senior experience in organisations that deliver Access to HE courses or in organisations that receive Access to HE students, and/or those with other experience that has given them a good understanding of the development and assessment of the Access to HE Diploma, and the context for, and operation of, recognised Access to HE courses.
Applications must be received by 18 May 2012.
