Kath Dentith
Head of Access
Kath Dentith joined QAA in 1998. She is responsible for managing all work relating to Access to HE at QAA, as well as being involved in a number of other QAA projects.
Her work includes management of QAA’s development work for Access to HE; oversight of the review and monitoring of access validating agencies (AVAs); co-ordination of the analysis and publication of national data about Access to HE; and liaison with other national bodies.
Kath’s career background is in teaching: initially in schools and then in FE. She has been involved with Access to HE since the early 1980s, when she first developed and taught on Access programmes in Liverpool, and became involved in the work of the local AVA.
In 1994, she joined the staff at Gloucestershire College of Art and Technology where she was course leader for the Access to HE programme, before moving to her current role at QAA.
