Reporting arrangements
The RSRG will report and make recommendations to the Access Recognition and Licensing Committee (ARLC), on matters relating to the development of the QAA Recognition Scheme for Access to HE.
Remit
The RSRG will maintain oversight of the Recognition Scheme and its operation, and make recommendations on
- revisions and additions to the component parts of the Scheme
- the structure of the Recognition Scheme documentation as a whole
Membership specification
- the Chair (who will be a member of the ARLC)
- between 6 and 8 others. Members will be current AVA reviewers, and will include AVA officers, as well as those working in the FE and/or HE sectors.
- QAA officers will be in attendance, as appropriate, to support and advise the Group.
Membership is intended to bring together a group of individuals with expertise relevant to RSRG’s remit, rather than on the basis of representation of particular constituencies, and membership is not transferable
Appointment to the RSRG
All appointments and reappointments are made by the ARLC.
Term of office
Members are appointed to the RSRG for three years, with a possible extension for a further term of three years.
Quorum
Meetings of the RSRG are quorate when at least 50% of members (including the Chair, or a nominated deputy) are present.
Frequency of meetings
The RSRG will meet at least once a year.
