Dr Philip Bentley

Phil Bentley has worked in further education since 1980. He graduated in English literature from the University of Wales where he also completed his MA and PhD.
He has been involved in Access to HE provision since 1990 when he was responsible for setting up an Access to HE programme. Since that time, Phil has acted as a moderator for a variety of subject modules as well as chief moderator for a multi-modular programme. He is currently a member of higher education committee of the Open College Network West Midlands Region.
Phil has been a QAA reviewer since 2001 and was a member of the Access to HE
Recognition Scheme Development Group. In addition he is an IQER Reviewer.
His current role involves the coordination of Higher Education provision at Shrewsbury College. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of both the Staffordshire University Regional Federation Quality Committee and Management Committee.
