Procedure for AVA merger by acquisition by a non-AVA recognised awarding organisation

This document sets out the procedures that an Access Validating Agency (AVA) should follow, and the actions that the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) will take, when an AVA merges by acquisition by a non-AVA recognised awarding organisation. The policy was updated July 2017 to reflect changes to the licensing criteria and the AVA monitoring method. Also see the Procedure for AVA merger by acquisition of one AVA by another.
