Access to HE higher education admissions fair 2015

The annual Access to HE Admissions Fair was held on Thursday 15 October 2015, at Central Hall Westminster, London, SW1.

Why did Access to HE students and their tutors attend?

Held exclusively for students on QAA-recognised Access to HE courses, this event recognised the fact that Access to HE students are more mobile and have to make more complex decisions about the increased range of possibilities for study in HE. Students and their tutors were given the opportunity to:

  • speak directly to representatives from 30 HE providers about their courses and discuss what they offer for mature students
  • find out how HE providers handle applications and what they are looking for from Access to HE applicants
  • attend free workshops on HE student finance and funding, and making an effective application
  • NEW for 2015, workshops specifically about applying for and funding undergraduate nursing studies

Since the first event in 2013, over 95 per cent of attendees said the event met their expectations and were more confident about finding a suitable course in higher education as a result of attending.

Guide for students

We produced a guide for students attending the Admissions Fair, which included a checklist of how to make the very most of your day. A print-friendly version of the checklist is available to download separately.
