Access to Higher Education - higher education admissions fair 2016
Building on the successes of previous years, QAA is holding its annual Access to HE higher
education admissions fair at Central Hall Westminster on Tuesday 11 October 2016.
Book your place now (opens in new window) and join over 2,000 former students who have benefitted from speaking directly to a range of higher education staff about the degree courses they offer and out what it’s really like studying at their university.
Why should Access to HE students and their tutors attend?
Held exclusively for students on QAA-recognised Access to HE courses, this event recognises the fact that Access to HE students are more mobile and have to make more complex decisions about the increased range of possibilities for study in HE. Students and their tutors will have the opportunity to:
- speak directly to representatives from 30 HE providers about their courses and discuss what they offer for mature students
- find out how HE providers handle applications and what they are looking for from Access to HE applicants
- attend free workshops on HE student finance and funding, and making an effective application, some of these will be specifically about applying for and funding undergraduate nursing studies
Since the first event in 2013, over 95 per cent of attendees said the event met their expectations and were more confident about finding a suitable course in higher education as a result of attending.
Guide for students
We have produced a guide for students attending the Admissions Fair, which included a checklist of how to make the very most of your day. A print-friendly version of the checklist is available to download separately.
