Committees information

The QAA Board is responsible for policy relating to QAA's Access to HE responsibilities. A specialist committee, the Access Recognition and Licensing Committee (ARLC), advises the Board. The ARLC has responsibility for oversight of QAA's Recognition Scheme, which is the regulatory framework through which Access to HE courses are recognised and regulated, and through which the Access to HE qualification is specified.

The ARLC is assisted by two expert groups: the Access Qualification Development Group (AQDG), which makes recommendations about developments to the Access to HE qualification, and the Access Data Development Group (ADDG) which makes recommendations about data on Access to HE.
